i'm 21, but will turn 22 just before nanowrimo ends. i figure actually completing the task will be a great birthday present to myself.
easiest way to describe me is to say i'm a reader. i've always been a reader. and because of how much i read, writing has always made sense to me. i didn't use to like writing. my handwriting, even my printing, is practically illegible. my hands would always cramp up when taking tests. anything that caused me to hold a pen or pencil for very long was pure torture. but there were times i had no choice but to write. that makes me a writer as well as a reader.
when i started high school, i started scrbbling stories in notebooks rather than take notes in class. all the teachers thought i was taking notes and left me alone, and i got to have some fun. my best writing always came out of math class when half my mind was on something else. and i realized i really did like writing.
unfortunately, i have a small problem. i'm great at starting things, not so great at finishing them. always have been. i've got somewhere between 20 and 50 beginnings of stories all over my bedroom at home. i'm hoping having a deadline will help me finish a story for once.
